Serves: 4-6

Prep time: 15 Minutes

Bake time: None

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • 2 cups filtered water

  • 1-2 cups ice cubes (as desired)

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries (I used fresh)

  • 1/4 cup filtered water (add to strawberries before making strawberry puree)

Simple Syrup:
  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup water

Directions:

  1. In a small pot over medium-low heat, combine sugar and water. Stir for about 5 minutes until the sugar is fully dissolved. Do not let it boil or simmer. Remove from the heat and set it aside to cool completely.

  2. Slice the strawberries into quarters and place in a blender with a splash of water. Blend until smooth. Strain the puree through a sieve to remove seeds (optional).

  3. In a large pitcher, add in the ice cubes, water, lemon juice, simple syrup, and strawberry puree. Stir vigorously until well combined. Top with lemon slices and chopped strawberries.

  4. Serve with plenty of ice in individual glasses and garnish the rim with a lemon slice or a strawberry. Enjoy!
