Serves: 6-8
Prep time: 15 Minutes
Bake time: 14 Minutes
Ingredients
2-¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup browned butter
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
200g chopped dark chocolate
100g chocolate chips
Directions:
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once it starts to bubble, lower the heat to low-medium and stir occasionally. The butter will become foamy, then separate and finally turn golden brown. Remove from heat and let it sit for 5-7 minutes.
In a bowl, whisk together the browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Add the eggs, and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
Add in the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until just combined- do not overmix.
Fold in the chopped dark chocolate and chocolate chips into the batter.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Scoop the dough and roll each scoop into a ball. Place on the cookie sheet and add extra chocolate chips on top.
Preheat the oven to 350F and bake for 14 minutes. Let the cookies sit in the pan for 5-7 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
