Serves: 6-8

Prep time: 15 Minutes

Bake time: 14 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 2-¼ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup browned butter

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 large eggs

  • 200g chopped dark chocolate

  • 100g chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once it starts to bubble, lower the heat to low-medium and stir occasionally. The butter will become foamy, then separate and finally turn golden brown. Remove from heat and let it sit for 5-7 minutes.

  2. In a bowl, whisk together the browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Add the eggs, and vanilla extract; mix until combined.

  3. Add in the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until just combined- do not overmix.

  4. Fold in the chopped dark chocolate and chocolate chips into the batter.

  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  6. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Scoop the dough and roll each scoop into a ball. Place on the cookie sheet and add extra chocolate chips on top.

  7. Preheat the oven to 350F and bake for 14 minutes. Let the cookies sit in the pan for 5-7 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
