Serves: 6

Prep time: 15 Minutes

Bake time: 40 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf challah bread or egg bread (500g)

  • 4 large eggs

  • 2/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips

  • 2-1/3 cups milk

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Topping:
  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Directions:

  1. Place the bread of your choice on a cutting board and slice into cubes. Set aside in a bowl.

  2. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.

  3. Grease a 9x9 inch baking dish with non stick spray. Place the cubed bread inside and add chocolate chips on top. Pour the custard evenly over the bread. Use the back of a spoon to gently press bread down so it soaks in the custard.

  4. Preheat the oven to 450F and bake for 40 minutes. Allow the bread pudding to cool.

  5. Cut the bread pudding into squares. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Enjoy!
