Ingredients
Cake:
2 cups fresh cranberries
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 box of white cake mix
3 large eggs
1-1/4 cups milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3/4 of a teaspoon of almond extract
Almond Topping:
2/3 cup sliced almonds
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions:
In a bowl, add in the cranberries and toss them in flour. Set aside.
In a separate large bowl, whisk the white cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, milk, and almond extract together until well combined.
Gently fold the floured cranberries into the batter with a spatula.
In another bowl, mix together the sliced almonds, brown sugar and cinnamon until it forms a crumble topping.
Grease a 9x13inch baking dish with non-stick spray. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly with a spatula. Evenly sprinkle the almond mixture on top of the batter.
Preheat the oven to 350F and bake for 35 minutes. Let it sit in the pan for 30 minutes before adding the glaze.
Drizzle the glaze (mix icing sugar and milk) on top. Slice, serve and enjoy this holiday dessert!
