Ingredients


The Batter & Fruit:
  • 3/4 cup Flour

  • 1/3 cup + 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 3 tablespoon melted butter, cooled

  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 (6 oz) packages fresh blackberries


For the Pan & Serving:
  • Soft butter (for greasing the dish)

  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)


Directions:


  1. Preheat the oven to 400F.


  2. Grease a 9 inch pie plate or 9x9 inch square baking pan with non-stick spray.


  3. Rinse and thoroughly dry the blackberries, then arrange them in an even layer in the prepared pan.


  4. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar for 1 minute until slightly pale. Add the milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Mix until completely smooth. Gradually whisk in the flour and salt and mix until well incorporated.


  5. Pour the batter slowly over the blackberries.


  6. Bake for 35 minutes, or until the center is set, slightly puffed, and a toothpick inserted into the custard part comes out clean.


  7. Allow it to cool for 30 minutes.


  8. Dust with powdered sugar, slice, and enjoy1
