Serves: 4

Prep time: 20 Minutes

Bake time: 25 Minutes

Ingredients

  • Rainbow Bits Cake mix

  • 2 containers buttercream frosting

  • Rainbow candy coated chocolate sprinkles

Reminder: For the cake mix, follow the golden rule: add an extra egg, swap the vegetable oil for melted butter, and swap the water for milk!

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray.

  2. In a bowl, whisk together the cake mix, milk, eggs, and cooled melted butter until completely combined.

  3. Pour the cake batter into the prepared baking dish and use a spatula to spread into an even layer.

  4. Bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to completely cool, then wrap with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for 2 hours to chill.

  5. Use ramekins or small ice cream cups like a cookie cutter to press down into the chilled cake and remove. Gently press the cake down into the bottom of each cup.

  6. Top the cake inside each cup with a layer of buttercream, smoothing the top to flatten it.

  7. Invert the top of the cup and dunk it directly into a bowl of sprinkles.

  8. Serve and enjoy!
