Ingredients
1- 9 inch baked pie shell
2 cups of finely chopped fresh strawberries
1 package of strawberry jello
1/2 cup boiling water
1 cup of heavy whipping cream
3 tablespoons of icing or powdered sugar
Topping:
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream whipped
2 tablespoons of icing sugar
Directions:
Follow the instructions to bake the pie crust, or make a homemade pie crust. Allow it to cool.
In a bowl, Pour the boiling water into the Jell-O powder. Whisk together until dissolved. Set aside for 10 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, add in the heavy cream and icing sugar. Mix together until firm peaks form.
Slowly whisk the Jell-O mixture into the whipped cream. After it is poured, mix for another 30 seconds until everything is well combined.
Fold in the chopped strawberries.
Pour the mixture into the cooled pie crust and gently spread evenly.
Refrigerate for 2-3 hours, or until firm.
Optional: Add whipped cream to the edges of the pie. Enjoy!
