Bake time: 10-12 Minutes
Ingredients
4 slices Texas toast (may use brioche, whole wheat or any sandwich bread)
3-1/2 tablespoons vanilla yogurt (may use greek yogurt)
1 large egg
1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
zest of half of a lemon (optional)
Raspberries that have been rinsed and dried (may use, strawberries, chocolate chips, blueberries)
Topping:
A dusting of powdered sugar or maple syrup
Directions:
In a bowl, whisk together the egg, vanilla extract, maple syrup, yogurt, and lemon zest until smooth and well combined.
Take slices of your preferred bread and gently press down on the center using your fingers or a fork to create a well for the filling.
Spoon the custard mixture into the indented center of each bread slice.
Top with raspberries, or any fruit of your choice.
Preheat the air fryer to 350F and line the basket with parchment paper.
Air fry for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is set. Let the toast cool for 5 minutes.
Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with maple syrup. Enjoy!
