Ingredients


  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1-1/2 tablespoon butter

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


Directions:


  1. In a small saucepan over low-medium heat, whisk together the the brown sugar, granulated sugar and water. Whisk for about 4 minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved, then allow the mixture to come to a slight bubble.


  2. Reduce the heat to simmer and let it cook for 5-8 minutes until the mixture thickens and looks glossy.


  3. Remove from heat and stir in the butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk together and let it cool for 5 minutes. The longer it sits, the thicker it will become. Enjoy!
