Ingredients
3/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1-1/2 tablespoons vanilla extract
1-1/2 tablespoons butter
Directions:
In a large saucepan, add the eggs, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla extract and salt. Gently whisk together until a smooth, creamy mixture forms.
Add in the milk and whisk until all combined.
Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir very 30 seconds until the mixture begins to thicken. Once it starts thickening, continuously stir until it begins to bubble.
Remove from heat and add the butter. Whisk until the butter is completely melted and fully incorporated.
Scoop the mixture into individual serving dishes, such as ramekins.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until fully chilled and set.
Top with whipped cream and garnish with vanilla wafers. Enjoy!
